DAY 27: Monday – Day off

Monday was cloudy.

Today I found my beautician in London. Tijen is originated from Cyprus and she is working at Elisabeth Ross, Electrolysis and Beauty Clinic. She is very good at waxing and I had a discount from her –maybe because I entertained her during the session, beside the low prices of the Clinic and the student 10% discount of the Monday: £17 instead of £27-35!

Then I found my new area of exercise in London. The sun appeared a few minutes, just enough to light my run around DownsHill Park. London offers several parks of green grass and ponds, in comparison with Montreal.

Today I found my future closest-to-house-grocery as well. It is a Turkish-British-Polish market. In London, either you go to the chain groceries, such as Waitrose, either you have plenty of supermarkets or Off-Licence owned by foreigners selling products from their country, with Polish or Greek or Arab indications. I like these markets.

Basco and Simone were home. I laid on Basco’s bed, studying The Modern Pantry’s oriental ingredients, such as Shimojis, listening music together. Basco is my new brother in London.

Maxime, Basco est là pour faire des rots à ta place, c’est tout...

For dinner, my Italian men cooked Aubergine Parmesan. I sat in the corner of the kitchen and was hypnotised by their talent. I was choked: Italian youth know how to cook. They love food. They start cooking at 9:00 and they finish at 23:00 and it is delicious.

We enjoyed our Aubergine Parmesan in front of “The Tourist” on Simone’s huge TV.
