DAY 25: Saturday

Today I started at 8 AM my training for Saturday’s busy brunch: I handled the outside section almost on my own. It was busy from 9h30 to 16h. Non-stop.
I met Martha, who was on her last day at The Modern Pantry. All the team had a glass of Prosecco at 16h to honor her. One more time: what a nice team I work with! Then Marta, Will, Jorge and I enjoyed our staff’s drink with muffins (gratuities from Eleonora) and marinated olives (gratuities from Esther). Marta has studied Clothes Design in Australia and she was working as an assistant-designer when she moved to England in a mind of catching better opportunities for her career. Even though she is working her ass off here, she knows that in London she will reach higher peaks than she would in Australia.
On the way home, I bought a bath mat because we have a French mate who wets the entire floor when he showers. I chose a light brown one in agreement to the tints of the bathroom.
I lit a candle and filled the bath with hot water... Hot? Not even warm... Yes, everything in Canada is perfect. In Canada when you want to have a bath with 88.5°F water, you have it.
Under Jeff’s advices, I officially became a Waitrose customer. Waitrose is the best grocery regarding food quality. Then come Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury’s and Tesco, which is crap. I cooked a salmon fillet in the oven with lemon slices on bottom and butter on top of skin. A little too cooked.
Part of our new family on 164 Seaford Road went to Party at O’neils in Picadilly tonight: Monica, Simone, Basco, Andreas and I. We got home by cab and after-partied in Simone’s bedroom.
Basco is a lovely miniature man. Maybe I would be in love with him if he was three times his size in each dimension.

Be soft and cool as water, so u can adjust anywhere in life. Be hard & attractive like Diamond, so no one can play with ur emotions.” Have a lovely evening
