Finally, the fancied shopping day came to reality. I went to Camden Town Market on my own in the morning, while Monica and Vasco were going to register in an English school in Holborn. Good idea!
On the bus, at Camden Street Stop, I glimpsed at a blond and lovely lady, who happened to be...
“Suzanna!
Gabriella!”
Suzana the Portuguese from Mapesbury Hotel was on her way to a small cafe in Camden where she henceforth works. Thus, she presently lives in Camden. I left her at her job, promising to come back for a chat my duties fulfilled, which I did successfully. Three hours and 49 £ I spent for two Levis shorts, two camisoles, a night dress and a summer suit.
Monica and I gathered betwixt the grass and the sun in Green Park where, as Monica noticed, people seem to “think they are at the beach!” with their nude chest, tanning and playing volley ball. By the way, Green Park is not so exciting.
I met with Graziano at The Verve, a nice bar in Picadilly. We had a beer with two other waiters from The Ivy: Max and Jo.
I was nonplussed by Graziano’s behaviour, which was once engagement and promises and love, telling Max I was the girlfriend of his life, then making me feel like nothing: he has chatted with Italian girls for a quarter hour, leaving to his friends... I was thinking of running away with his expensive jacket when he took me apart to explain his behaviour: “Listen, Listen.” I had enough. I told him to stop talking. Max was very nice, I danced with Jo, had more beer and danced with Graziano who finally left me at the Bus Stop – with his jacket – asking me for dinner tomorrow.
End of the story: He is very young and very Italian. I don’t think it is going to lead us somewhere.
