I finished working at half past 17o’clock.
I went to the closest grocery to my house, an Indian grocery: Save 2 Save.
Graziano called me at 18h to meet at the tube station where he has moved Monday: Swiss Cottage.
There, I met him and his new haircut, designed for 45 Pounds in Brick Lane.
Then I heard the complete explanation of why he could not reach me before. He got his pay, went to the casino, wan 100 Pounds, played again, lost his 400 Pounds, stopped playing, didn’t have any phone to call me, did not want to see me because he could not give back my 40 Pounds, but then he thought it was stupid and called me yesterday in the middle of the night.
Then he asked me if I would like to move with him in a double room when he would come back from Italy (12th of April): “Gabrielle. Listen. I have to live with you to understand you.” He always says: “Listen”. All the time.
My answer was no. I don’t want to be dependant of someone’s promises.
We took the underground. We decided to get out of Green Park Station: We had never gone out it. This is something exciting about the tube: you never know what you will find at the Way Out!
We found a Night Sightseeing Bus Tour. After soft negotiations, we both entered the open bus for 20 Pounds instead of 30, which I paid, of course.
And we enjoyed the gigantic city of London in the cold wind of the night. We rode through the richness of South Kensington and Chelsea, the illuminated Harrods, the Buckingham Palace, the Big Ben, the London Bridge and its view on the blue London Eye... London is magic.
